Bath (UK) - Sally Lunn's

Hello hello!

Greeting you humans and greeting August!
How fast this year has been, my my, I am petrified, I hate all these fasting moving years from the bottom of my bones.

Anyway,
Today I am here to present you another place you can visit if you're
either out and about or being and chilling in Bath, England.
This place is a historical sight as well as a very lovely place to spend your time chatting and eating with your loved ones. It's called

Sally Lunn's Historic Eating House and Museum

Sally Lunn's place has been here since forever.
Since the date which I imagine, Knights and ladies in long gown are sitting in here eating their favourite choices of Buns.

It is very famous for it's signature Bun :)

The place is not very spacious but they have many floors to accommodate their visitors, which is a lot, I guarantee that if you stumble upon the lunch time, the queue is going to be quite long.

The place is very old but very cozy. The decoration gives me a very homey vibe and their food and tea is definitely impressive.

Welsh Rarebit Special Toast

Lemon Curt Bun

I highly recommend the Lemon Curt Bun, it's super super super nice!!
Different from many other lemon dessert that sometimes is too sweet and can't really smell or taste the sourness of lemon on my tongue, this one is going in very hard with their lemon!

If you love sourly lemon dessert, you will love this bun, but if you're not really a fan of lemony eats I suggest other bun with milder taste :)

The Bun is very crunchy as well so don't forget to hurry into it after you got your best photo!
It is best when it's fresh xx

I hope you like it and I'll see you soon with the next spot in the next destination!

London - Institute of Contemporary Art

Hello humans!

Back again at it with a hangout place/sigh seeing spot/ chill spot hehe
This time I'm back with a combination of all those three elements into one and as you would have already known from the title, it's Institute of Contemporary Art !

If you are an art enthusiast I believe you would probably have heard of ICA or may even have been here yourself, but for any of you guys who have never been here,
they are more than just an art gallery!

ICA holds an art exhibition that changes from time to time, but as of their name, the art they exhibit are of the contemporary style.

Apart from the exhibition, ICA has their very own cafe where if you purchase a ticket to see the art you can enter to their cafe area and chill there as long as you wanted to. You can actually have a meeting here as well, either work or leisure, or come here with your laptop and work on your thing! :)

For me, I went to ICA because I had volunteered at London Short Film Festival and on that day I had a shift at ICA as an event photographer, I went there early so I decided to buy some of the book at their bookstores and chill in their cafe area for a bit.

ICA also have their very own cinemas as well. They screen festival films as well as the currently showing in the normal cinemas, so if you're bored of going to ODEON or VUE you can visit ICA for a movie night, but make sure to check their screening time first! :)

Hope you all have a lovely lovely week, and I'll see you around!

Love,
B

Brussels - Peck 47

Hi humans!

Breakfast or brunch, you name it, I love that kind of stuff.
Today I'm here with a new recommendation brunch place in Brussels, Belgium.

This place is called Peck47

It's located in the Brussels city centre area, on the street name "Rue de Marché"
coordinate : 50.848681,4.350989

on weekdays it opens 7.30 am until 9 pm
and the time varies on weekends :)

As breakfast/brunch places are best at, this place is very comfy and cozy.
The not-too-bright light create such nice lovely vibe in the place.

The place is filled with people always, so if you're looking for a quiet place to discuss important business, this is probably not a place for you, but if you're looking for a hang out spot with soft pillows, well I highly recommend!

They also have outdoor seatings, in case you want to enjoy the weather or have some smokey time.

On the left side of the place was a hand drawn wall, which I APPRECIATE SO MUCH
it was sooooo pretty!

Also, the place is filled with nice quotes and hidden puns, in case you like that kind of stuffs, because I TOTALLY DO, and it's fun to see!

There are variety of choices for food, drinks, and dessert, with infused water.

My friend got the Hemingway Egg Benedict (the salmon one) and I got the Sausage Egg Benedict, which I must say that both are very very nice. The egg was cooked with a perfect timing makes a nice egg benedict and the ingredients were definitely fresh.

For the tea, when it comes to their tea names, it sounds super super beautiful.

I got the Earl Grey Blue Flower tea and my friend got the Alice Secret Garden green tea.
andddd, not only it sounds nice, the taste was wonderful as well :)

So if you're to visit Belgium and looking for a place for some simple but amazing breakfast, I hope you have Peck 47 in your considerations :)

Brugge - Chocolate Shops

Hi there humans!

As everyone knows, Belgium is the capital country of in the world!
Tales have always been told about how Belgian chocolate is the best chocolate anyone could ever find in the whole world and coming to Belgium, I must say I expect so MUCH

As a chocolate head myself, self-proclaimed obviously. I must tell you guys first that I love chocolate so much and obsess type of so much.

When I was younger, I keep a list of chocolate package on a notebook and write what they taste like because I hope maybe I could be a professional chocolate expert or something.
YES THAT MUCH. see?
hhhehehehehe :p

ANYWAY
Since Belgium is soooo famous for their chocolate,
I'm here to introduce you guys to two chocolate stores in Brugge that is actually good.
Because trust me, I got my hope down A LOT from this trip.
..Somehow, most chocolate doesn't taste as good, they taste like cheap chocolate you get in the convenient store not like artisan or hand craft as they claim.

so let's get started!

1. CREVIN

Crevin store is next to the famous canal in Brugge.
It is pretty easy to find.

Crevin's decoration game is very strong, it is very very pretty on their display window and inside it is well organised and glamoured.

This store has a very good assorted chocolate box, every thing in there tastes really nice, rich, and smells really good. The nougat is also very nice here.

2. DUMON

There are lots of Dumon's stores in Brugge so don't worry if you can't find it right away, if you find one you will keep on running into another one.

Dumon claimed to have various of praising from many magazines from all over the world.
However, I highly recommend only coffee chocolate and the thin cut chocolate sorted boxes.

Dumon's assorted picks are not very impressive. It wasn't bad as like I want to throw them away but it makes me make faces in confusions of how is this Belgian chocolates.

If you have any other chocolate shops recommendation let me know!
Have an amazing week :) xx

Love always,
B

Paris - Cafes! Cafes!

Hello there humans!

We're now here on the chapter of cafes in Paris. :)

First off. You guys probably know it already, Paris is filled with tons and tons of cafes, like it is a capital city of cafes in the world of some sort. However, it's amazing, as always, I love cafes, and my friend loves cafes so it's a great place for us!

I'm not here to talk about every cafes ever or even the MUST GO cafe, I'm here to range you some cafe I find interesting, and some cafe that is a *famous* one, which you might have already heard of, anyway let's go!

CAFE MARLY

I'm just gonna put this one photo out here.

Cafe Marly is famous for their location and scenery, which I'm not even gonna show you, it's right next to Louvres and one thing you will be starring at during your dinner is the glass triangle construction in front of the museum. I mean it's an amazing experience, once in a life time sort of.

Why did I say "once in a life time" ?

Because man, I'm not going back there for sure.

Not that it's the worst restaurant/cafe ever existed. No. But it's not worthy of the price at all. The food wasn't impressive, the view was nice, the service was moderate, and the price is beyondddddd. So the day before I came to Cafe Marly I was sitting in front of Louvres with my friend with a cup of tea, just chilling and looking at the sunset and the triangle glass (yes, I said that again) and my friends, oh my friends, it's way better vibes than sitting at Cafe Marly so. You get my point ;)

CAFE KITSUNE

Honestly, my friend here introduced me to Maison-Kitsune, which is a Japanese/French clothing line, that actually creates more than just clothes, they have awesome playlist and cafe too. So sooo so if you're a fan of the brand you definitely gonna be like

omg bo, can't believe you don't know about kitsune

Alright.
hahahah honestly yes mam' I don't know about Maison-Kitsune until I plan my trip to Paris for a week with my dear friend but after I was introduced to it I like it!
It's a really cute brand honestly.

There are many branches of Kitsune Cafes around Paris, some of the branch is under the clothing store and it's pretty cool.

The branch we went in for a coffee here is at Galerie d'OrlĂ©ans, where I went to find a high-en vintage store that turns out a little disappointing.. but it was a great day since we accidentally discovered an amazing square with this cafe!

CAFE BORDS DE SEINE

According to the name, yes my dear, it's close to the Seine, but that doesn't mean you can see the river because of all the cars and the street blocks.

However howeverrrrrr

This place has such an AMAZING LAMB SALAD.

I mean it guys. I really do. This salad was beyondddddd. It's so good.
I'm just gonna leave it here.

CAFE MERCI

and yes, the guard was searching my friend's bag before we enter..
I guess they are extra cautious, but that's okay! for everyone's safety that's kinda cool

If you are a cafe lover, I'm pretty sure you know about this cafe already. It is an amazing place!

Don't get fooled by a small door in front of the shop, this place is actually huge inside!

Cafe Merci is lined up with books on their side. They have a square in the middle where you can go take photo with their signature red car as well

excuse me for using the footage from my video hehehe

They have a store inside as well, but check the date before you go because they don't open the store every day. It's pretty interesting in there if you're interested in decors or simple style clothing :)

TERMINUS NORD RESTAURANT

Terminus Nord is right in front of Gare Du Nord train station so it's super super convenient for any of you who are there early for the train but don't want to wait inside the chaotic space of the station.

My friend and I were there waaaaay too early for our train back to London but this place is quite charming in a very authentic Parisienne type of way.

So if you have this Flaneur in you and like watching people living life or walking pass you, this place is a perfect place to wait for your train :)

I hope you enjoy Paris and have an amazing trip!
